How to Compare Scans and Track Your SEO Progress

Compare any two scans of your store to see what got better, what got worse and which pages changed, then share the report as a PDF.

Fixing SEO issues only feels worth it when you can see it working. Every scan you run is saved, so you can compare any two of them and see exactly what got better, what got worse and what's new. This guide shows you where to find your scan history and how to read a comparison.

Open your scan history

In Site Health, click History at the top of your report. A window opens with every scan of that store.

Crawl History window on a tablet showing the latest scan with its score, the progress since the last scan for health score, pages found, errors and warnings, and the list of past scans.
  1. Latest scan. Your most recent score, how many pages were scanned, the scan type, and its errors and warnings.

  2. Progress since last scan. How your health score, pages found, errors and warnings moved compared with the scan before. Green arrows mean fewer problems. Underneath, a short note sums it up, for example "Score unchanged".

  3. Past scans. Every earlier scan with its date, type, page count and issues. Click any of them to compare it with your latest scan.

At the bottom you'll also see your overall progress for that store: score gained, pages added, errors fixed and total scans.

Compare two scans side by side

Clicking a past scan opens the Crawl Comparison, a progress report for the time between the two scans.

Crawl Comparison on a laptop: the health score before and after, the change in pages crawled, critical errors and warnings, the number of issues fixed, and the Export PDF and Share buttons.
  1. Before and after. Your health score on each date and the change between them.

  2. The numbers that moved. Pages crawled, critical errors and warnings, each with the old and new count, plus how many issues you fixed.

  3. Export PDF or Share. Send the report to a client, a boss or a developer. It's the quickest way to show your work paid off.

Further down the report you'll find:

  • AI recommendations: the next fixes that would raise your score the most, each with an estimate like "+8 score potential" and a Fix button where an AI tool can help.

  • Category breakdown: issues before and after for meta tags, images, internal links, page speed and technical setup, with a score for each.

See which pages changed

The last part of the comparison lists individual pages.

Page-by-Page Changes in Crawl Comparison on a tablet, with tabs for improved, regressed and new pages, and a product page whose score rose from 53 to 63.
  1. Improved, Regressed and New. Switch between pages that got better, pages that got worse and pages that didn't exist in the older scan.

  2. Each page shows its score before and after and the change. A page only appears when its score moved by more than 5 points, so normal small ups and downs don't clutter the list.

Tip: Always check the Regressed tab. A page that got worse usually points to something that changed on your store, like a theme update, a new app or an edited product.

How many scans you can compare

Scan comparison is part of every paid plan. How far back you can look depends on your plan: Starter keeps 2 past scans, Growth 3, Business 5 and Pro 8. Older scans are still counted in your overall progress but hidden from the list. QuickifyApp plans compared has the full details.

Why didn't my score change?

  • You compared different scan types. A Full scan reads more pages and runs extra checks than a Quick scan, so it can find issues the other missed. Compare scans of the same type.

  • Your fixes weren't live yet. Make sure the changes are published and any store cache is cleared before you rescan.

  • The fix only reached some pages. Many issues sit on hundreds of pages. Fixing a few helps those pages, but the store-wide score moves once most of them are done.
