If you have a shop, showroom or service area, your Google Business Profile decides whether you show up in the map results at the top of local searches. The Google Business Profile Audit checks your profile against the businesses Google actually ranks for your search, so you know what to fix and what's fine as it is.
Which plans: Business (15 audits a month) and Pro (20 a month).
Run an audit
Open your business on Google Maps, tap Share and copy the link. It looks like
https://maps.app.goo.gl/....In QuickifyApp, open Google Business Profile, paste the link and click Find my business.
Check it's the right business and confirm.
Say in a few words what you actually do, for example "we cut hair and sell barber supplies". List everything, including things people might not expect you to sell. We use this to find the right competitors and to check your Google categories cover all of it.
Enter the search you want to show up for, like "barber supply near me" or "bakery Springfield".
Your past audits are saved under History, so you can reopen a report any time without using another audit.
See where you rank, and why
Your rank for that search, with your business name, address, category, rating and review count underneath. Click Audit another business to start over.
Why you rank here. Google ranks local results on three things: relevance (does your profile match the search), distance, and prominence (reviews, photos and how well known you are). This part explains how you compare on each. The rank is measured from your own location, so someone searching from across town may see a different order.
Go through the checklist
The legend. Each check gets a color: meets a basic requirement, beats the competitors, close and worth watching, behind and needs action, an opportunity nobody has taken yet, or information only. Start with anything marked behind.
Each check compares you with the businesses ranking for that search. Photos, reviews and rating show your number next to theirs, plus a plain-English note on whether it's worth chasing. Hours, website, phone number and unanswered questions are simple yes or no checks.
Category coverage. If you mentioned things your Google categories don't cover, we point that out and suggest official categories that might fit. Changing a category can move your ranking either way, so Ask me about your categories lets you talk it through first.
Know who you're up against
These are the real businesses ranking for your search, not just whoever is nearby. For each one you see its position, main category, rating, number of reviews and number of photos. If a competitor with fewer reviews ranks above you, their category or how close they are to the searcher is usually the reason.
Quick wins most profiles miss
Opening hours, including holiday hours.
Fresh photos of your products, your space and your team. Customers add most photos over time, but a good set from you helps.
Extra categories for everything you sell or do.
A reply to every review, good or bad.
Click Email me a copy of this report to keep it, then run the audit again a few weeks after your changes. For a step-by-step checklist of everything you can improve on your profile, read our Google Business Profile optimization guide.
