Posting regularly is half the battle with content. The Content & Social Calendar keeps your blog posts, social posts, emails and product launches in one place, so you can see the whole month at a glance and never wonder what's going out tomorrow. It's included on every plan.

Find your way around the calendar

Open Content & Social Calendar from the left menu.

Content and Social Calendar month view on a laptop, with the New entry button, the Month, Week and List views, Import and Export, and filters for platform, type and status above sample posts.
  1. New entry adds a post. You can also click any day on the calendar.

  2. Month, Week and List. Month shows the big picture, Week shows times so you can plan your posting slots, and List puts everything in date order.

  3. Import, Export and dates. Bring a plan in from a spreadsheet, take it out to your own calendar app, or move between months. Today jumps back to the current date.

  4. Filters. Show only one platform, one type of content or one status. Filtering by "Drafted" is a quick way to see what still needs finishing.

Each post on the calendar gets a colored label for its type and a small dot for its status. Click it to open and edit it.

Add a post

New entry form in the Content and Social Calendar on a tablet, filled in for a fall sale announcement: title, type and platform, date, time and status, and notes for the caption.
  1. Title. A short name you'll recognize, like "Fall sale announcement".

  2. Type and platform. Type is a blog post, social post, email, product launch or other. Platform covers Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, your blog, email or other.

  3. Date, time and status. The time is optional. Status moves from Idea to Drafted to Scheduled to Posted as the post comes together.

  4. Notes. Keep the caption, hashtags, a link to the image or video, or anything you'll need on the day.

Click Save and the post appears on the calendar.

Tip: Posting the same video to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts? Add one entry per platform. Then you can mark each one Posted on its own and see at a glance which ones are still waiting.

Import a plan from a spreadsheet

Already planned your month in Google Sheets or Excel? Bring it in instead of typing every post.

Import entries window in the Content and Social Calendar on a tablet, with the Download template and Choose CSV file buttons and the allowed values for type, platform and status.
  1. Download template gives you a CSV with the right columns and two example rows. Fill it in, save it as CSV, then click Choose CSV file. Only title and date are required. Dates use the format YYYY-MM-DD, like 2026-11-05.

  2. Allowed values lists exactly what the type, platform and status columns accept, for example social, instagram and scheduled.

The window tells you how many entries it found before you click Import, so you can catch a wrong file before anything is added.

Export to Google Calendar, Outlook or a spreadsheet

Click Export and pick a format:

  • CSV for a spreadsheet, or to import again later.

  • Calendar (.ics) to add your posts to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Then choose what to include: the current view, a custom date range, or everything. The window shows how many entries will be exported before you confirm.

Get your week in your inbox

Every Monday evening (UTC) we email you what's planned for the coming week, so nothing slips. You can turn it off in Settings under Preferences by switching off Weekly Content Calendar.

Ideas for what to plan

Need topics? Your Site Health report is full of them. A product page with thin content can become a blog post that links to it, and your best-selling collection deserves its own social series. For help writing posts that rank and sell, read how to write e-commerce blog posts that drive sales.
